This stoneware clay sculpture was made by pinching a closed form, then adding individual “petals” to the top. Petaled pod is finished with a rich metallic glaze on top an a creamy satin glaze with a hint of blue on the bottom. 4.25” x 2.” x 2.” 2022

This sculpture was constructed by joining two wheel-thrown closed forms with a hand-pulled and carved elements. Syncytium is finished with acrylic paints and mediums to give it a unique semi-matte surface.
