Thanksgiving Centers for 1st Grade

It's almost time for Thanksgiving! I made this little packet to carry us through the few weeks before one of my favorite holidays! Your kiddos will be engaged in Literacy Centers and you will have some no-prep literacy activities to use for morning homework, homework, or for fast finishers! The literacy centers included in this packet include a direction sheet, a recording sheet, and are included in color and black/white so you can choose what to print! :) Literacy Centers What's for Dinner- students put the food cards in alphabetical order and write them on the recording sheet Bird is the Word- students sort word cards into nouns, verbs, and adjectives and write them on the recording sheet Gobble Up Some Blends- students fill in the beginning blend (cr, fr, tr, and br) and write the word on the recording sheet Literacy Activities Write the Room- students find words that start with the letters in Thanksgiving and Pilgrims Happy Thanksgiving- students make words out of "Happy Thanksgiving" Thanksgiving Word Search- students search for Thanksgiving words I am Thankful- students draw and label 8 things they are thankful for No Turkey for Me- students write about what they would eat on Thanksgiving instead of turkey Headed to America- students write about what they would bring on the Mayflower with them So Very Thankful- students write about what they are most thankful for Be sure to download the preview to see what's included! :)
