This is shorts outfit made from an heirloom pattern The blouse is pink flowered, higher quality cotton with 1-2 inch pleates across the lower front. The yoke, collar and sleeves have home-made piping. The collar is a peter pan collar with the pink piping. The back is closed with four 1/2 inch abaloni shell buttons. The back does not have pleates. The shorts are attached to the blouse in the traditional manner with two buttons in the front and back and one button at each side. The front and back sides of the shorts are buttoned onto each side button. Meaning the shorts have 8 button holes for 6 buttons. The back side button is buttoned first and the front side button is then buttoned with the same button. The buttons for the shorts are the same type of button that closes the blouse back. The bottom of the shorts have elastic at the leg seam. The shorts are lined but the blouse is not. This outfit is a 3T.
