Catweazle. A British TV series screened in 1970-71 about the eponymous 11th century wizard, who is transported by magic to 1969 England where he makes friends with a young boy 'carrot'. The focus of the story was his efforts to return to his own time, and bewilderment with the twentieth century world. As an 11 year old I loved the show and was fascinated by the idea of time travel.
