La América de Théodore de Bry

I don't think this could possibly ever count as armor, but it does end up looking quite neat.

AMERICAE SIVE NOVI ORBIS, NOVA DESCRIPTIO. From Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, Antwerp, 1571. This version shows the southwest coast of South America with a relatively straight coastline, as opposed to previous states of the map which characterize the coast as having a great bulge. The map, with its decorative borders, strapwork cartouche, sailing ships and breaching cetacean, is one of the most attractive depictions of this side of the world in cartography.
