NGC 3576 (also known as The Statue of Liberty Nebula and ESO 129-EN5) is a bright emission nebula about 100 light-years across, located some 9000 light-years away in the Sagittarius arm of our Milky Way in the constellation Carina.

NGC 1309 -- A spiral galaxy ~120 million light-years away in the constellation Eridanus. It is about 75,000 light-years across; about 3/4s the width of our own galaxy, the Milky Way. Bright blue areas of star formation can be seen in the spiral arms, while the yellowish central nucleus contains older-population stars.
