Una investigación ordenada por el general Augusto Pinochet y realizada entre marzo y abril de 1976 por su ministro de Defensa, general Herman Brady, sobre los “juicios instruidos contra personal del Ejército por abuso de sus funciones” revela episodios desconocidos de la violencia indiscriminada después del Golpe, agrega numerosas víctimas que no aparecen consignadas en el Informe Rettig y demuestra que las autoridades del régimen conocieron los crímenes y sepultaron sus huellas.
