Father Hidalgo by Jose Clemente Orozco - 1949. Orozco established the Mexican Mural Renaissance together with other murals by other artist. He was fond of the theme of human suffering, but less realistic. I think that this painting is a way to acknowledge how much Father Hidalgo, who was a Mexican priest, did as a leader for the Mexican War of Independence.
