BRITISH VICTORIAN MILITARY DRESS UNIFORM -- A BRITISH VICTORIAN MILITARY DRESS TUNIC AND TROUSERS, circa 1890. Red wool with black collar and cuffs heavily embroidered with silver bullion oak leaf motifs and Tudor rose collar badges, and white piping. Silvered buttons embossed with Queen's crown. Together with a bullion and red mixed cord aiguillette. Complete with black wool trousers with brocade stripes.
Dolman : "Chasseur a Cheval de la Garde", trooper. Side view.  Jacket made of dark green melton, 18 rows of 5 buttons each, balls in the middle, half-balls on the sides, the pleats in the back are well marked: (reproduction)
Maitre d'equipage de Marin de la Garde: full dress (Reproduction). The buttons are slightly rounded, they are stamped with the imperial eagle. The braid on the dolman is in fact a triple "soutache" specially recreated on an old weaving loom, the gold and crimson squared cord has also been recreated.

Officer of the Compagnies franches de la Marine, circa 1750 - "This elegant officer with his snuffbox dates from about 1750. The cut of the garments evolved with fashion, which Canadian officers followed closely. This man is also a member of the Order of Saint-Louis, as the white cross and red ribbon of the order on his left breast shows. Reconstruction by Eugène Lelièpvre."
