Indonesia’s volatile Mt. Lokon volcano, in N. Sulawesi, erupts again --October 8, 2012 – INDONESIA - One of Indonesia’s most active volcanoes has erupted again, spewing clouds of ash, an official has said. In September, the volcano erupted 41 times. The 1580 meter (5,214 feet) Mount Lokon on northeast Sulawesi Island erupted at 2pm local time on Sunday with thunderous sounds heard as far as five kilometers away.
