Christina on Instagram: "Every time I pull out a can of paint, I am asked about my sheen choice. So here are the paint lusters (or lack thereof) in my home. I’ve painted each of these projects, and they are always tedious, but the right prep and paint finish makes all the difference! Ceilings I do flat because flat or matte paint hides the most imperfections. Ceilings “usually” aren’t the best drywall or plaster jobs in a home, and they could use the forgiving finish of matte paint. Planking or high-touch woodwork is always pretty with a subtle glow of satin or eggshell paint. It wipes off easily, and the low luster reflects light without pointing out imperfections. Accent furniture or a surface that you have a LOT of time to perfect looks amazing in high gloss. It’s a gorgeous statem

Loralee AhMu on Instagram: "Benjamin Moore White Down is one of those versatile off-whites that can work wonders in almost any space. It has a warm, creamy undertone that gives it a cozy, inviting feel without leaning too yellow. It’s perfect for those who want a soft, neutral backdrop that’s not too stark but still feels fresh and bright. What’s really nice about White Down is how it adapts to different lighting. In brighter spaces, it has just enough warmth to keep it from looking too cool or sterile, while in dimmer rooms, it maintains its softness without feeling too dark or heavy. ✨Have you tried this color in your home? We’d love to hear your thoughts below. ✨ Would you like a link to the wallpaper, swatches, cabinet color, or hardware? Type LINK in the comments and I’ll se
Liz Marie - Cozy Cottage Style on Instagram: "It’s so good & I am so happy we FINALLY picked a color. It went from green to a cozy cream quick when we imagined the floors being painted & didn’t want a solid green kitchen here on white cottage farm. Our goal? A cozy cottage garden inspired kitchen that you may encounter on a tour in the English countryside 🐑🪴 I think we are achieving that goal don’t you?! I’ve spent hours, days, & sleepless nights going over paint colors so here are some other paint colors that I color matched to this wallpaper. The first one is a contender for part of the floor pattern & you can see large samples of it in my kitchen Reno highlight: Benjamin Moore Dried Basil (1510) Benjamin Moore Nature’s Scenery (1524) Benjamin Moore Dry Sage (2142-40) Benjamin Mo

House & Garden Magazine on Instagram: "Not far from an area of outstanding natural beauty in the West Country, on land rich in pre-Anglo Saxon remains, is a 1760s Georgian house of great elegance. Built originally for a wealthy merchant, it was purchased in 2017 by George Hulse as a wedding present for his wife, the Californian tech entrepreneur Rose Hulse. A gem from the outside, it had been jarringly modernised on the inside, but it cried out to be restored to its former glory. As the roof, plumbing and electrics were all in good condition, the couple went ahead and took the plunge. Follow the link in our profile to revisit the story. 📸 @paul_massey"
em metroka on Instagram: "Van Courtland Blue by @benjaminmoore A historic midtone blue grey with green undertones making me dance a moody little happy dance every time I walk into this room. I obsessed over colors for months before even getting samples. There are so many! How to choose! Narrowed it down to five shades of blue and this one was the winner. It’s added so much character to what always felt like (to me) a thrown together room. More updates to come in and I’m really excited about it. Save it if you need it for your next painting project."
