Positive Coaching Alliance Studies Impact of Abusive Coaching
We love and care about our gymnasts as if they are our own children. There are many hours spent in the gym - some of them more difficult and intense than others. Coaches have a large impact on their gymnasts. While there are many different coaching styles and techniques, we need to be cognizant of how to recognize when coaching turns abusive toward the young girls, and how it can affect them in the long run if not taken care of in a timely manner.
