As a kid I was always very aware of the “Georgia red clay” because it was sure to stain your hands, clothes, and shoes. This is a new clay body I’ve been trying out, called Redstone from Laguna. Once fired, it’ll have a dark red/brown hue - which was the reason I was curious to try it out. Porcelain has been trying my patience lately, so it felt like the right time to go back to a groggy red stoneware. #wheelthrown #redclay #stoneware #pottery #wheelthrowing #ceramics #crafting #handmade #potterystudio #claytrimming" Lidded Jars Pottery, Dark Red Brown, Earthenware Pottery, Wheel Throwing, Pottery Videos, Pottery Glazes, Clothes And Shoes, Thrown Pottery, Ceramic Jars

I've got to do a bit of thinking about how I'll glaze them, so that I don't lose the detail. In the past I've used a red clay inlaid with white clay and that's been a great contrast. Here I'm using a buff clay inlaid with a red clay. Let's see what happens."
