I'm using a leather bag that I make often in my shop for this example. This method is very common for fabric bags with separate outside and lining pieces.

What makes this different than the sewing in Part 1 is that the fabric/leather hugs around the end of the zipper and leaves a small gap when you finish sewing the bag.
