This quilt is a design from Caryl Breyer Fallert and is called "Soaring Compliments". A friend taught the class. The quilting is all my design. I wanted to learn to piece the curves and the curved flying geese.

A pre cut kit of curved pieces makes for interesting sewing and a cool block when finished.

Well, it’s July 3rd and I’ve finally gotten my June Island Batik quilt done! This month’s challenge was curves.

The top is sewn. There are a lot of pieces on the bias on the edge so I staystitched it to keep it from stretching. A recap in case you haven't been following my progress on this quilt top: all Keiko Goke Japanese fabrics, cut with Strips 'n Curves templates sets 1 and 2.
