Aztec emperor

Now that the third game in Lara Croft’s modern reboot is out, let’s take a look at some of the concept and promotional work that went into imagining Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s world.

Isabel Moctezuma was an Aztec princess who lived during the time of the Spanish Conquest of Mexico. Isabel was the daughter of Moctezuma II, and by the time she was 11 or 12 years old, she had been married off not just to an Aztec noble, but also to two Aztec emperors.

Emperor Montezuma II was a skilled leader who ably ruled his nation before the 1519 arrival of the Spanish conquistadors.
