Andre Braugher, American actor. He is best known for his roles as Thomas Searles in Glory, as Det. Frank Pembleton on Homicide: Life on the Street, as Cassiel on City of Angels, & as Owen Thoreau Jr. on Men of a Certain Age. He also appeared in The Mist, Gideon's Crossing, Salt, Last Resort, Thief, Hack, Get on the Bus, Fantastic Four 2, The Tuskegee Airmen, Striking Distance & L&O:SVU TV shows/films. He currently stars on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He is a graduate of Stanford & Julliard.
