Villa Capra (o Viilla la Rotonda), by Andrea Palladio. s. 1570. Near Vicenza, Italy. Utiliza como novedad el uso de una cúpula en un edificio civil. La cúpula cubre el salón central circular. De planta cuadrada y alzado cúbico, un módulo rectangular le sirvió para definir las salas interiores y sus mutuas relaciones. Cuatro fachadas iguales e independientes con un pórtico a modo de templete hexástilo de orden jónico.
