Valparaiso in Chile - a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Somehow its crumbling charm and outstanding StreetArt keep us captivated - we seem to come back to Valpo. Recently we took a friend and he loved it very much too...
Yasha in Valparaiso, Pablo Neruda's houses, Caleta Portales, and Isla Negra.
The rickety and sometimes derelict houses of Valparaiso hang precariously to the steep hill sides.Overall the town has real charm and lots of beautiful street art. It's a pleasure to walk around, although some parts can be a little unsafe (nothing worse than some pickpockets).
La Serena in Chile has a lovely, pedestrian friendly center. Many colonial style buildings and a building code ensuring that new structures blend in. This is the San Francisco church, oldest in town.
