You’ll need to find some longer pieces depending on the size of the photograph or portrait that’s going into the frame, but nothing creates a more nautical-themed frame than driftwood. We covered something similar in our post on repurposing pallets for DIY projects as well. For a strong finish, oil treat the wood, but don’t add a polyurethane to it. Use a tack hammer to nail a few strips of rope around the edge of the frame to give it a more rustic look.
