Uno de los chorlos que llega a esta región es el playerito rabadilla blanca (Calidris fiscicollis). En la imagen se puede apreciar un particular ejemplar de esta especie, la cual exhibe un crecimiento excesivo de su mandíbula superior. Por lo que observamos no era sencillo para este inidviduo acicalarse las plumas y alimentarse. Pese a todo, sobrevive".  Gracias Gustavo Bruno y COA Mar Chiquita
