Die beste Zeit für den Buchsbaum Formschnitt ist März oder gegen Ende Juni. Ein leichter Rückschnitt bereits geformter Figuren ist während der ganzen Wachstumsphase der Buchsbäume möglich. 1) Ein selbst gemachtes Gestell aus Bambusstäben und mehreren Drahtringen hilft beim Schneiden eines Kegels. 2) Anschließend wird ein Band spiralförmig um den Buchsbaumkegel gelegt. 3) Daran entlang kleine Furchen schneiden. In den folgenden Jahren die Furchen mit der Schere immer mehr zur Spirale ausformen.
